Knit-Along Progress?

We received an e-mail from Valerie about the Endless Cardi Shawl January Knit-Along that we've been working on in the store and wanted to share it here! Here's what Valerie says:

My sister-in-law, Eileen, and I spent a couple hours on skype yesterday working the "magic" bind-off of the Endless Cardi Shawl. I was so excited when I finished, that I tried it on without securing that last loop of the bind off. Oops, I got to re-bind off about 30 stitches. Now, I'm on to the sleeves.

I've attached a photo of the pre cast-off. Have little a-f markers was very helpful!
Where is everyone else with the shawl?

January Knit-Along Update

Our January Knit-Along is well underway and all the knitters and crocheters are working hard together on our Thursday Knit-Nights (starting at 6:30 PM). Even if you are not participating in the knit-along, please feel free to bring in your own projects and join along. Here are a few pictures of the Knit-Along project:
Please post comments if you have any problems and we will dedicate posts in the future to trying to work out any dilemmas that we all can learn from. And the February Knit-Along is underway! Stay tuned for details.

Here is my personal favorite view of the sweater (from behind, upside down):

Have you ordered your yarn for the January Knit Along?

Endless Knitted Cardi Shawl
We are excited to be knitting and crocheting this Stitchdiva pattern together for our January Knitalong- the Endless Cardi Shawl! We have both the knit and crochet patterns for this sweater and would love to see both knitters and crocheters working with us this month. The sweater is worked up in one piece and very simple to knit or crochet while producing lovely results. It can be worn on its own, with a shawl pin, or a belt. The versatility also extends to the fact that it can be worn rightside up, upside down, and backwards! So whether you have been apprehensive to start your first sweater, or you have made many sweaters in the past, jump right in and join us!

The yarn will be ordered this Friday and will be arriving next week, so that we will hopefully be able to begin swatching when we meet Thursday night! We're offering 15% off on the yarn for this project, as well as the pattern, so come on in- it's not too late!
